Snow 2008
We got our first snow that amounted to anything on Thursday. The last time I can remember a snow like this was about 3 years ago. Cooper was to little to really enjoy himself in the snow, but this time was different. The look on his face when he got home from daycare was full of excitement and joy. It took me back to my childhood when I used to get so excited about snow. As adults we seem to not get excited the way we used to as kids, even though we should. Cooper and I got all bundled up and set out to make a snowman. Cooper explored the yard a while making snowballs and throwing them at me (he thought that was so funny). Once I started making the snowman Cooper wanted me to stop because I was taking all the snow he said. Once I convinced him there was plenty of snow to go around, we built our snowman. We had such a good time playing in the snow and making our snowman.

New Favorite Toy

Say Hello to my little friends! Emerson has discovered her feet, and she loves them. She tries so hard to get them in her mouth every time I'm changing her diaper or if she playing on the floor. I remembered that I had these little sock pals from when Cooper was a baby, so I got them out and she loved them. Cooper never got to play with them because his feet were always too big and fat. Imagine that?! Hard to believe that these days. Anyway, she really loves playing with her feet, and eventually got one of the sock friends off. Who knew I wouldn't have to spend any money to entertain her. She just needed to find her feet.

Hi Mr. Hippo. This outfit wasn't pink at all, so I thought she definitely needed a bow. The picture definitely makes the colors seem more boyish. They were turquoise and lime green, very gender neutral. I'm sure if we were out in public people would probably call her a boy. Note to self, don't wear this outfit out in public. The pants have a very cute sweat jacket with club princess on it. Very much girl!

I will get you off Mr. Hippo!

Aha! I did! I did! Mission accomplished!

Rollin'

Emme has been rolling over from her tummy to her back since about 2 months, but she hasn't been quite able to master rolling from her back to her tummy until the past few weeks. I captured it on video last night, and Brooks was actually able to get my video to post here on blogger. I hope you all enjoy. She brings so much joy to our lives, as I'm sure you will see. I tried to make the picture of the video smaller to see if that would help with the size, so pardon me if it appears small. I'm going to make to post some other pictures I have too tonight. We have another busy weekend ahead of us. We have two birthday parties and Uncle Drew and his friend are coming to visit us tomorrow night. We are very excited to have them.

Busy Weekend

Cooper had a really good time at Eva's 4th birthday party. He got to paint pumpkins and play. He learned when you mixed all of the colors together, they make black! Interesting, huh?
After Eva's birthday party on Saturday, we went down to the Pumpkin Patch like we do every year. We all had a great time. Cooper wouldn't let me take too many pictures this year. I had to settle for taking his picture playing with th Little People farm that he has at home. For some reason it's just different at the pumpkin patch. We picked up Christa's kids, and they all had a good time. Cooper said his favorite part was going through the corn maze with his Daddy, Christopher, and Quinn. See pictures below.

Happy Birthday Grandma!!

Today was my mom's birthday (Happy Birthday Mom, your gift and card is in the mail!), and Cooper decided a while ago that he wanted her to have a Halloween birthday. He likes for everyone to have some kind of birthday. Like he was very upset that my mom didn't make my brother, his uncle J, a Kung Fu Panda cake for his 34th birthday. So I told him we would definitely make Grandma Halloween cupcakes today. It wasn't a disaster, and we actually had a great time. He had a good time. He did have to remind me to take a few deep breaths on occasion. Poor thing! He has a cold, but I promise he didn't touch his nose once. I hope you enjoy the pictures. I hope you had a wonderful day mom. Your cupcakes were delicious. Sorry no pictures of Emme, she slept through the entire ordeal. I'm sure she'll be right in the middle of things next year. We love you so much Grandma!

Cooper wearing his apron that his Gram made for his Daddy when he was a little boy. Isn't it just cute? I can't believe it's still in such good shape. He loves it.
I just made a mess with the cake mix. It's from a box. Nothing from scratch over here.
Cooper really likes the mixer. What's going on with my hair? Looks like I needed a hair net.
The finished product. Happy Birthday Grandma! We had bat and pumpkin sprinkles, but they tasted better without them. Love you. Hope you had a great day. Cooper is going to take a few to Nana's house tomorrow to share with his friends.
